Two different games under one name
Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition look similar but are built on separate codebases. Java Edition mods are Java programs loaded by Fabric, Forge or NeoForge. Bedrock, which includes the mobile version many people still call MCPE, uses add-ons and resource packs with a different structure.
Because of that, an Entity Culling jar cannot be converted into a Bedrock add-on by renaming it or repackaging it.
Be careful with "MCPE ports"
Some websites offer files labeled as Entity Culling for MCPE. This site cannot verify such files, and they are not part of the tr7zw project. Unverified downloads for mobile devices can carry risks, so avoid installing them.
What mobile and Bedrock players can do
- Lower render distance and simulation distance in video settings.
- Turn off fancy graphics options that your device struggles with.
- Keep large mob farms and dense storage away from areas where you spend most of your time.
- Close background apps on the device while playing.
These do not replicate what Entity Culling does, but they reduce load in similar situations.
If you also play Java Edition
On a computer with Java Edition, Entity Culling can be installed with a supported loader. Start with the installation guide, and see the version guide for 1.21 if you play the latest releases.
